Welcome to the 41st National Convention of the South African Chemical institute

WSU LOC and the Eastern Cape SACI are proud to announce the hosting of SACI 2013 in the Eastern Cape Province.  The Eastern Cape Province is a region endowed with great natural beauty from the craggy cliffs and Kie curves, the rugged mountains of the southern Drakensberg region around the town of Elliot, Keiskamma Valley, the fertile Langkloof- renowned for its sun-ripened apple harvests, to the rough seas and dense evergreen bush to give the Province its uniqueness.  The Eastern Cape's main feature is its spectacular coastline, lapped by the temperate Indian Ocean. With long stretches of unspoilt sandy beaches, rocky coves, secluded lagoons and towering cliffs, the coastline is the province's main tourist attraction. WSU Chemistry hosting SACI 2013 in such an environment promises to be a therapeutic and prolific academic business.
