General Information

Conference Registration
Conference registration will take place on Sunday 2nd December 20118 from 15:00 to 18:00 and again on Monday, 3rd November 2015 from 7h30 to 8h20. On Sunday, registration will take place in the CSIR-ICC. On all other days the registration desk will be situated in the foyer of the Conference. The registration area will be open from 7h30-17h00 each day.

Name tags
Please wear your name tag at all times for access to the conference venue, meals and social functions.

Social Functions
All social functions mentioned below are included in the delegate registration fee. Accompanying person can attend on payment of a social fee. Each social event has a separate fee for accompanying persons only. Please enquire at the registration desk for the accompanying person fee.
4th  December 2018 – Welcome Reception at CSIR–ICC,  18h00 for 21h00
5th December – Excursion, from 14h00 to 18h00
6th  December 2018 – Gala Dinner, CSIR - ICC – 19h00 for 24h00. Dress Code for the dinner is formal or traditional.

Please take note that two drinks tickets will be provided for each event and thereafter there will be a cash bar and only South African Rand will be accepted.

Presenters
All presenters must upload their presentations in the venue in which they present during the break (tea or lunch) prior to their presentation. The identified student assistants present in each venue will assist.

Posters
The Poster Session will be held on Monday, 3rd December 2018 from 18h15 – 21h15. This session will be held CSIR – ICC Foyer. Materials to place the posters on the poster boards will be provided. There will be judges scrutinizing the student posters during the poster session and the winner and runners-up will be announced on the 6th, December 2018, during the Gala Dinner ceremony

Wireless/Internet/Fax/Photocopying
For those who require an internet station, faxing or photocopying, they can be visited at the business centre at the CSIR - ICC. All charges from the business centre will be for the delegates own account. For those who have their own laptops/tablets/ipads they can make use of free WIFI service offered. Wireless internet connect is available throughout the conference centre.

Parking
Delegates arriving with their own vehicle can park at the CSIR-ICC free parking

For delegates who have booked and paid for the following tours with Ubuhle Be Nerha on Wednesday afternoon, 5th December 2018 transport is included and will leave from the front of the Centre from 14h00.

Transport

Currency
Please note that only the South African Rand will be accepted. You can exchange any foreign currency at OR Tambo International Airport. Should you wish to visit any bank during your stay in Pretoria i.e. Menlyn Shopping Centre which is less 3 km from the Centre, please note that the general banking hours in South Africa are 9h00 to 15h30 Mondays to Fridays, and 8h30 to 11h30 on Saturday mornings. Banks are closed on Sunday.
